Tattooing is one of the oldest art forms on earth, and one of the least understood. Its finest work is made by people who have given their lives to mastering it, often far from the spotlight. SKINGRAPHICA® exists to serve that work, and the people who wear it.

What we stand for

6 commitments. No exceptions.

We stay out of the studio.

What happens in the chair belongs to the artist. We never interfere with technique, inks or process, and we make nothing for use in the studio. Our work bookends theirs, preparing skin before the appointment and protecting it for life after.

We share what we earn.

When an artist or studio refers a client to SKINGRAPHICA, they share in the revenue. Not a one-off fee or a box of free product. A lasting stake, so the people who make the work grow with us.

We don’t buy loyalty.

We do not sponsor conventions, exhibit at trade shows or hand out free product to win favour. Artists recommend us because their clients heal beautifully, or they don’t recommend us at all.

We judge the work, not the following.

Our Global Rankings are decided by anonymous inspectors against 6 criteria, beginning with mastery. Followers, reach and press never count. Some of the finest artists alive barely post. They deserve to be found.

We put the best in front of the world.

Featured Artist stories are reserved for ranked artists. We shoot every one at our own expense and support it with our homepage, our social channels, press and paid media. A story typically reaches 150,000 to 200,000 readers.

We raise the standard.

Signature Studios recognises the studios that get everything right, from healed work to hygiene to client care. It gives clients a reason for confidence that a photograph alone cannot.
