At SKINGRAPHICA®, every claim we make is grounded in testing and research. Our products are evaluated by accredited, independent laboratories using internationally recognised cosmetic and sunscreen testing standards, and our in-use and appearance claims are supported by structured consumer and tattoo-artist research carried out with our research partner.

We believe credibility comes from transparency, not exaggeration.

Dermatologist Approved

SKINGRAPHICA® products are evaluated under dermatologist-supervised clinical protocols conducted by Princeton Consumer Research (PCR Corp.), a respected independent clinical research organisation based in the United Kingdom.

Assessment is performed using established dermatological testing methodologies designed to evaluate skin compatibility and tolerance under professional oversight. This supports our use of the claim Dermatologist Approved.

Clinically Proven

SKINGRAPHICA® formulations are clinically proven to be well-tolerated following repeated skin exposure.

Independent clinical studies are conducted by Princeton Consumer Research (PCR Corp.) using validated human repeat insult patch testing protocols. These studies assess irritation and sensitisation potential under controlled conditions and include participants who self-identify as having sensitive skin.

This substantiates our use of the claims Clinically Proven and Safe for Sensitive Skin as cosmetic safety statements.

Consumer and Artist Research Studies

Beyond laboratory safety testing, the in-use and appearance benefits of PRIME, LOCK, SHIELD and LUME are evaluated through structured, prospective use studies conducted in partnership with Intelligencia Labs, our formulation and research partner. Each product is assessed under real-world conditions in a single-arm, within-participant design. Every participant serves as their own baseline, so change is measured directly against their prior experience or pre-use condition.

The research programme is designed for breadth and representativeness. Panels span multiple international markets and a wide range of Fitzpatrick skin phototypes, tattoo styles and tattoo ages, together with the major global tattoo ink systems. They combine everyday tattoo wearers with practising professional artists, who also assess workability and the appearance of healed and refreshed ink. Outcomes are recorded against pre-defined, quantified measures, using ordinal and rating-scale responses rather than open opinion alone, captured through structured questionnaires and standardised interviews and supported, in the LUME studies, by standardised before and after photography of the same tattoo under controlled, repeatable conditions.

Each study is documented to a consistent evidentiary standard. Results are accompanied by signed, independently witnessed participant declarations and analysed using descriptive statistics with confidence intervals appropriate to the sample size, and the complete record set is retained on file. This methodology substantiates the in-use and appearance claims made across the range, and confirms that the formulations are comfortable and well-tolerated on tattooed skin, with no adverse effect on the colour or integrity of the ink.

Ink-Safe™ Compatibility

Our Ink-Safe™ standard reflects this work. It denotes that a product has been formulated for use on and around tattooed skin and assessed for compatibility with tattoo pigment, so that it supports the skin and the healing process without compromising the colour, clarity or integrity of the artwork.

SPF15 and Broad Spectrum Assessment

SKINGRAPHICA® SHIELD is independently evaluated by Eurofins Dermatest, an internationally recognised testing laboratory specialising in cosmetic and sunscreen evaluation.

Testing is performed in accordance with ISO 24443, the global standard for in vitro UVA protection assessment, and is interpretable against sunscreen frameworks used in Australia, Europe and other international markets.

All SPF-related claims are supported by accredited third-party laboratory assessment.

Blue Light and UVA Spectrum Evaluation

As part of advanced UV testing, SKINGRAPHICA® SHIELD is assessed across the UVA spectrum by Eurofins Dermatest using ISO approved methodologies.

This evaluation forms part of our science-led approach to understanding environmental light exposure on tattooed skin, while remaining fully compliant with cosmetic regulations.
