Tattoo ink resides in the dermis, the deeper, stable layer of skin. Our formulations are designed to act only within the epidermis, the outer layer that does not carry ink. By working exclusively at this surface level, we refine texture, clarity, and resilience without ever disturbing your artwork.

We deliberately avoid harsh actives or ingredients that could interfere with or compromise pigment. Instead, every formulation strengthens and restores the canvas, ensuring your art remains vivid, defined, and uncompromised.

We have meticulously curated a "banned list" of ingredients commonly found in traditional aftercare that we believe compromise the integrity of your ink.

  • No Petroleum or Mineral Oils

    Unlike traditional ointments that can "suffocate" a fresh tattoo, we avoid occlusives that trap heat and bacteria. Our formulas allow your skin to breathe, preventing pigment lifting.

  • Zero Essential Oils

    We’ve eliminated reactive scents like Lavender and Citrus. While they smell nice, they can cause micro-inflammation on broken skin, blurring the crisp lines of your art.

  • Lanolin-Free

    We avoid common allergens that lead to "tattoo pimples" and clogged pores, ensuring a smooth, clear healing process.

  • No Aggressive Acids

    We’ve replaced harsh AHAs and BHAs with PHAs (Polyhydroxy Acids). These provide gentle resurfacing without penetrating deep enough to disturb the pigment.

    Fresh ink is vulnerable. We utilize high-potency Ectoin to protect your tattoo from UV-induced fading from day one.

  • Rapid pH Calibration

Why it's Ink-Safe™
LOCK acts only at the surface. It forms a breathable layer over freshly tattooed skin, helping it repair without disrupting pigment locked into the dermis below.

Tattoo Fade and Blur Defence Cream (SPF15)


Where it works
On the surface of the epidermis, applied daily to tattoos.

Why it's Ink-Safe™
SHIELD uses next-generation organic UV filters (Octinoxate, Tinosorb M, and Tinosorb S) that remain within the upper layers of the skin to help defend against UV and blue light exposure. These filters do not penetrate to the dermis where tattoo ink is located. Antioxidants such as resveratrol, vitamin E, vitamin C, and Banksia extract further support skin defence within the epidermis, keeping the protective action at the surface level without interfering with tattoo pigment.
